The House of Representatives will not consider any legislation before the full body. However, House Committees will hold a number of hearings and markups.

The Senate will consider several executive branch nominees.



The Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee will hold a full committee nomination hearing for: Mr. Arun Venkataraman, Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Director General Designate, United States and Foreign Commercial Service, and Mr. Damon Y. Smith, General Counsel Designate, Department of Housing and Urban Development

The Senate Appropriations Committee Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government will hold a hearing: “A Review the FY 2022 Budget Request for the USPS Office of Inspector General and USPS Service Issues.”


The Senate Foreign Relations Committee will hold a hearing: "Review of the FY 2022 USAID Budget Request."

The House Committee on Financial Services will hold a hearing: “Monetary Policy and the State of the Economy.”

The House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Oversight will hold a hearing: “Expanding Housing Access to All Americans.”


The Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee will hold a hearing: "The Semiannual Monetary Policy Report to the Congress."

The Senate (Special Committee on) Aging will hold a hearing: “Building Wealth and Fostering Independence: Creating Opportunities to Save.”

The House Financial Services Committee Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations will hold a hearing: “CDBG Disaster Recovery: States, Cities, and Denials of Funding.”


The House Financial Services Committee Task Force on Artificial Intelligence will hold a hearing: “I Am Who I Say I Am: Verifying Identity while Preserving Privacy in the Digital Age.”
