This week, both the House and Senate are in session.
The House will consider H.R. 7617, the Department of Defense Appropriations
Act, 2021 [Defense, Commerce, Justice, Science, Energy and Water Development,
Financial Services and General Government, Homeland Security, Labor, Health and
Human Services, Education, Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development Appropriations
Act]. This is the second appropriations “minibus” to be considered by the
House this month.
The Senate is expected to release “Phase 4” coronavirus
relief legislation. The Senate will also consider several judicial
nominations.

Tuesday
The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs
Committee will hold a hearing: "Oversight of COVID-19 Financial Relief
Packages."
Wednesday
The Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee will
hold a full committee hearing: "The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s
Semi-Annual Report to Congress."
Thursday
The House Committee on Financial Services will hold a
hearing: “Protecting Consumers During the Pandemic? An Examination of the
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.”
