The House of Representatives will consider H.R. 1319, the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021; H.R. 842, the Protecting the Right to Organize Act of 2021; H.R. 8, the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2021; and H.R. 1446, the Enhanced Background Checks Act of 2021.

The Senate will consider Marcia Louise Fudge to be Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and Merrick Brian Garland to be Attorney General.



The Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee will hold a hearing: "Who Wins on Wall Street? GameStop, Robinhood, and the State of Retail Investing"


The House Committee on Financial Services will hold a hearing: “Justice for All: Achieving Racial Equity Through Fair Access to Housing and Financial Services”

The House Committee on Small Business will hold a hearing: “The Next Steps for the Paycheck Protection Program”

The Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee will hold a markup: Gary Gensler, of Maryland, to be a Member of the Securities and Exchange Commission, and Rohit Chopra, of the District of Columbia, to be Director, Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection.


The House Committee on Financial Services Subcommittee on Consumer Protection and Financial Institutions will hold a hearing: “Slipping Through the Cracks: Policy Options to Help America's Consumer During the Pandemic”

The House Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government will hold a hearing: “Oversight of the U.S. Postal Service”
