How to earn the BSACS designation:

CUNA BSA/AML Certification Conference with NASCUS

  1. Register for the conference
  2. View the 3 1/2 hour online BSA 101 and Compliance Specialist (BSACS) Certification session to prepare  for the certification exam. Attendees will receive online certification training access instructions approximately 30 days prior to the conference.
  3. Attend an instructor-led study session and take the exam at the conference

CUNA BSA/AML Certification recorded eSchool with NASCUS

  1. Register for the recorded eSchool
  2. Locate a proctor in your area.  For more information on proctor guidelines, click here
  3. Schedule your exam on a date that is before the exam deadline. The deadline is listed on the eSchool registration page
  4. Complete & submit the Proctored Exam Request form at least four weeks before your scheduled exam date. Remember to check the exam deadline on the eSchool registration page and plan accordingly. When completing the form, choose BSACS Certification Exam (SC503). You do NOT need a Comp Code.
  5. Prepare for the certification exam:
    • View the pre-recorded "BSA 101 and Compliance Specialist (BSACS) Certification Session."
    • NOTE: Exam content is covered during this session, students are not tested on the content of any other CUNA BSA/AML Certification eSchool session.
  6. Take the exam before the exam deadline
  7. Attend CUNA BSA/AML Certification eSchool

If multiple people from your credit union will certify for the BSACS Designation, please do the following to ensure each designee receives credit for recertification:

  1. CUNA Training Bundle Subscribers - please register each individual to ensure the school or eschool is added to their transcript.
  2. If you do not have the CUNA Training Bundle, please contact training@cuna.coop for assistance with registering additional participants.
Recertification

To maintain designation, BSACS designees must recertify every three years. Below are the options.

CUNA BSA/AML Certification Conference with NASCUS

  1. Register for the conference
  2. Attend the conference*
    *As of October 1, 2019, the recertification exam is no longer a requirement of recertification.

CUNA BSA/AML Certification recorded eSchool with NASCUS

  1. Register for the recorded eSchool
  2. Attend CUNA BSA/AML Certification recorded eSchool with NASCUS*
    *As of October 1, 2019, the recertification exam is no longer a requirement of recertification.

If you attended the CUNA BSA/AML Certification eSchool (live or recorded) with NASCUS, please complete and submit this form to indicate the date you completed your recertification.
