How to earn the CCUSC designation

To become a Certified Credit Union Supervisory Committee Member, you may choose from two methods of training:

Attend this in-person training and you'll be eligible to earn your designation. Certain sessions are specified for you to attend and you'll complete an online exam after the conference.

  • CUNA Supervisory Committee Fundamentals Pre-Conference Workshop
  • Best Practices in Excellence: Governance, Communications and Relations
  • By the Numbers: Understanding Your Credit Union Financials
  • ERM: Balancing Yesterday & Tomorrow
  • Performing an RFP for External Financial Statement Audit Services
  • Supervisory Committee 101
Self-Directed Study

For supervisory committee members who prefer to learn on their own, the self-directed option allows you to pick and choose the order that you complete all learning activities. Please complete the enrollment form to get started.

There is no time limit for completing the CCUSC designation. You must complete one activity annually for your enrollment to remain active. If there is no activity for one year, the enrollment is cancelled, and re-enrollment is required.

CCUSC designations must be renewed every 3 years by attending CUNA Supervisory Committee & Internal Audit Conference or CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference.

All recertifications must be earned within the 3-year recertification period which begins on the date of your most recent certification.

Your recertification certificate will be mailed to you 6-8 weeks after attending the event.
