A critical component of working with members is learning how they manage expenses. In Controlling Living Expenses we’ll explore ideas for reducing housing, transportation and other expenses. Additionally, we’ll review how you can help members improve their credit score while repaying existing debts. Participants will learn to:

  • Recognize the three biggest expense items in most members’ budgets and explore ways to reduce their costs in these areas
  • Recognize the importance of teaching members to involve all family members in the counseling and education process, from understanding the problems to being part of the solution
  • Explore how the credit scoring system works and how to help members change their attitudes and habits to ensure their credit score improves
  • Examine the different types of credit cards that are available to members and how to choose the right credit card for them

This webinar is part of CUNA Financial Counseling Certification Program Part 2 which starts June 27. CUNA members gain access to the entire series for $1395.
