Certified Credit Union Board Member (CCUB) Designation

Become a confident leader on your credit union's board

Designed to create confident, strategic credit union leaders, this designation gives credit union board members the expertise and decision-making skills expected of them and allows them to earn our premier volunteer designation, Certified Credit Union Board Member (CCUB).

As an enrollee, you're empowered by choices: You decide whether to earn your designation in person at our face-to-face school or on your own through self-study. Either way, you're connected to industry experts who provide you with insights and guidance on your role as a credit union board member.

At the end of this program, there will be an open-book exam you must pass to obtain the CCUB designation. You are required to bring a laptop or tablet to take the online exam at the event.

Certified Credit Union Board Member eSchool (recorded)
For board members who prefer to learn on their own, the recorded eSchool allows you to take the sessions at your own pace.

This program, as well as many others, are available to Training Bundle users at no additional cost.

Shortly after your registration you will receive an email from the America's Credit Unions team with further instructions on how to access the exam, including your personalized username and password for the exam platform. The exam will be open book.

If you are due to recertify your CCUB that is expiring this year, we will automatically extend your recertification deadline for one year to avoid a lapse in your certification. We will notify you as online recertification options become available.

How long are the exams?
Examinations vary in length depending on the type of learning activity. All examinations are multiple choice and are graded on a pass/fail basis. They are also un-proctored and "open book."

How often do I need to recertify?
Your CCUB certification will need to be renewed every three years.

How long are the sessions?
Each session is approximately 85 minutes.

How do I access the exam?

In order to access the exam and earn your CCUB designation, please make sure you are registered for the recorded eSchool. Shortly after your registration you will receive an email from the America’s Credit Unions team with further instructions on how to access the exam, including your personalized username and password for the exam platform. Exam information may take up to one week to receive after registering.
