Kathy Smith, CUDE

Kathy is an Instructional Design Manager for the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Center for Professional Development (CPD).  She is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing educational programs for CUNA's webinars, schools, and conferences.  Credit Union lending, collections, audit and compliance training programs are her current focus.  

Kathy joined CUNA in 2013 after spending over twenty years in the training and development field in the banking industry.  She has experience in all aspects of employee training, design, implementation, facilitation and assessment to improve employee development and ensure effective training programs drive for results. 

Kathy holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.  In 2017, she became a Credit Union Developmental Educator.  Currently, she serves on the board for the Madison Area Chapter – Association for Talent Development.  Kathy is a long-time volunteer with Junior Achievement, visiting an elementary school classroom each spring to deliver their classroom programs.  She is a life-long resident of Madison where she enjoys the four seasons of Wisconsin.  Kathy enjoys travelling both for business and fun, enjoying visiting with fabulous credit union employees around the country.
