Tour Beacon Hill and step back two hundred years as you experience a Boston neighborhood that looks and feels much as it did in the days of Paul Revere. Your tour starts in the Boston Common, Beacon Hill's great outdoor resource for centuries, playing host to militias, duels, and celebrities from George Washington to Pope Paul II. Crossing over Beacon Street you'll enter the Beacon Hill neighborhood, a thriving community of historically preserved townhouses and intriguing shops. By 1848, the entire “Hill” was covered with row houses, nearly all brick and built by Boston's most renowned architects, predominately in Georgian, Federal or Greek Revival styles. Your Beacon Hill Tour includes a behind the scenes experience of the neighborhood as well as the unique opportunity to tour three private homes. Each house tour lasts 15-20 minutes and includes a mix of architectural and historical facts about the property, as well as the homeowner's personal perspective as a resident of this timeless community. Following the tour, you will be escorted to Davios's for a private lunch.
*Special Considerations: The tour will operate rain or shine. Dress for the weather. You will be walking over cobblestone streets.

Salem, Massachusetts may be most widely known as the site of the Salem witchcraft trials of 1692, but this colorful coast city has much to offer: a culturally diverse population, a rich maritime heritage, an impressive display of historic architecture and amazing stories that span almost four centuries. The first stop on the trip will be Salem's infamous Witch Museum. It will stir imaginations through use of life size stage sets, figures, lighting and spooky narration. Guides will explain the truth behind stereotypes, witchcraft practice today and the frightening practice of witch hunting. Next stop will be the famous House of Seven Gables. Built in 1668, this is the oldest surviving 17th century wood mansion in New England. The House of the Seven Gables inspired author Nathaniel Hawthorne to write his legendary novel of the same name. Then the group will visit the Salem Witch Museum. You will also take in Salem's beautiful waterfront then drive down historic Chestnut Street as you view the architectural features of the elegant mansions-Federal-style homes of sea captains and businessmen-standing unchanged from their 19th century splendor.
*Special Considerations: The tour has considerable walking. Sensible footwear recommended. The tour will operate rain or shine. Dress for the weather.
