Regulators are focused on ensuring that the financial services industry is prepared for cyber-attacks. These ever-changing threats and requirements to respond to these threats impact all credit unions.
Where We Stand
CUNA is a member of the Federal Reserve's Secure Payments Task Force, which focuses on security issues associated with faster payments.
CUNA's involvement ensures the unique perspective of credit unions is adequately represented among a diverse membership of financial institutions, associations, fintech firms, consumer groups and government representatives.
What We've Told Lawmakers and Regulators
On November 9, CUNA filed a comment letter with the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA or Administration) which is part of the U.S. Department of Commerce in response to the NTIA’s request for comment on “Developing the Administration's Approach to Consumer Privacy.”
On September 27, CUNA wrote to Chairman Leutkemeyer and Ranking Member Clay prior to the Subcommittee's hearing entitled, "Examining Opportunities for Financial Markets in the Digital Era Hearing."
