Email to the Hill: 5,500 credit union advocates in your offices this week
Posted February 26, 2020 by CUNA Advocacy

As the GAC General Session was coming to a close, an email was sent to all 535 Congressional offices before many advocates went to meet with their Congressional delegations.  The email highlighted three credit union priorities and linked to the Advocacy Briefing Book.  This email was a follow-up to last week's communication.

This week, credit union advocates will hike the hill to discuss ways Congress and credit unions work in tandem to advance your community and empower your constituents' financial well-being.

Advancing Communities

This week, credit union advocates will hike the hill to discuss ways Congress and credit unions work in tandem to advance your community and empower your constituents' financial well-being.

We cherish our role in serving and uplifting your community.

Credit unions have three primary asks when you meet:

  • Pass a strong data security standard that preempts state laws
  • Allow credit unions to be there for veteran small business owners
  • Modernize the way credit union charters are structured

Thank you for taking the time to discuss the ways our people-over-profit structure can help you and your constituents forge a bright future.

Respectfully,

Ryan Donovan
