The NCUA issued its list of examination priorities for 2017 to assist credit unions in preparing for their next exam.  The primary areas of supervisory focus are as follows:

  1. Cybersecurity Assessment;
  2. Bank Secrecy;
  3. Internal Controls and Fraud Prevention;
  4. Interest Rate and Liquidity Risk;
  5. Commercial Lending; and
  6. Consumer Compliance.

CUNA urges credit unions to review this list in advance of their examination in order to better anticipate issues that may arise during an exam.  A copy of the press release can be viewed here.
