The CUNA/American Association of Credit Union Leagues COVID-19 Response Center has been updated to include the latest guidance and materials on the Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and other government financial relief stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic. The CARES Act funds the PPP at $349 billion to assist American small businesses affected by COVID-19 in meeting employee and other costs.

The information can be found under the “COVID-19 SBA and Government Relief Lending” tab of the COVID-19 Response Center.

Specific PPP resources include:

  • The Treasury/SBA PPP information sheet for lenders;
  • The CARES Act form for non-SBA lenders to become authorized as PPP lenders; and
  • The full Interim Final Rule on the PPP.

In addition, the section provides links to regulatory guidance on responsible small-dollar lending during the pandemic, a link to a Federal Reserve webinar on stimulus payments and cash ordering, and messaging resources for credit unions to communicate information about PPP and other government COVID-19 information to members.
