ON THE FLOOR
The House of Representatives returns this week from recess and is expected to consider the “Ensuring Small Scale LNG Certainty and Access Act” (H.R. 4606) and the “Empowering Students Through Enhanced Financial Counseling Act” (H.R. 1635).

The Senate is expected to consider several federal judicial nominations.

Wednesday

  • The House Committee on Financial Services Subcommittee on Monetary Policy and Trade will hold a hearing: "The Future of Money: Coins and Banknotes"
  • The House Committee on Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing and Insurance will hold a hearing: "The Cost of Regulation on Affordable Multifamily Development"

Thursday

  • The House Committee on Financial Services will hold a hearing: "A Failure to Act: How a Decade without GSE Reform Has Once Again Put Taxpayers at Risk"
  • The Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee will hold a hearing: “Outside Perspectives on Russia Sanctions: Current Effectiveness and Potential for Next Steps.”
  • The House Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Securities, and Investment may hold a markup of pending legislation.

Friday

  • The House Committee on Financial Services Subcommittee on Terrorism and Illicit Finance will hold a hearing: "Survey of Terrorist Groups and Their Means of Financing"
