Alexander Monterrubio
Alexander Monterrubio joined CUNA in July 2018 as Senior Director, Advocacy & Counsel. In his role, he is responsible for CUNA’s advocacy on consumer protection issues, including the activities of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection.
Prior to joining CUNA, Monterrubio was the Director of Regulatory Affairs at NAFCU, where he oversaw the regulatory advocacy staff and served as the primary liaison to federal regulatory agencies.
Monterrubio holds a law degree from the University of California, Davis and bachelor’s degree from the George Washington University.
He is a member of the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association.
