Bryan Fox
Brigadier General Bryan P. Fox, Retired, United States Air Force, devoted the past 45 years to serving his country, state and community.
Brigadier General Fox’s last Air Force assignment was Commander of the Montana Air National Guard until he retired in 2018. His military career began in 1976 as an aircraft mechanic and crew chief. He received an officer commission in 1989 and served in multiple leadership positions of increasing responsibility and traveled to 30 countries throughout his 42-year career. His assignments included a successful 2006 combat tour as Commander, 332nd Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Balad Air Base, Iraq.
Mr. Fox has extensive experience in leadership, diplomacy, strategic analysis, facilitation and consensus building at the executive level. He specializes in cultivating relationships among diverse groups and individuals, using his affinity for team building and problem solving. He passionately applies integrity, credibility and excellence to strategic endeavors.
Mr. Fox has a broad background in voluntary civic assignments and board memberships at the state and national level. These include the Board of Trustees of the University of Providence; Board Member (and past President) of the Montana National Guard Association; current Chairman, Volunteer Leadership Committee, Credit Union National Association, Madison, Wisconsin; Board of Directors (and past Chairman) of the Russell Country Federal Credit Union, Great Falls, Montana. He was also a board member on the National Guard Diversity and Inclusion Council and the National Guard Strategic Planning Council in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Fox was a national essay winner for his paper titled, “Airpower, Air Guard, 2000 and Beyond”, and was recently featured in the Fall 2020 Credit Union Magazine for his response to the COVID-19 pandemic as a Credit Union Board of Director.
Mr. Fox holds two Associate Degrees and a B.S. in Business Administration/Economics from the University of Providence. He is also a graduate from the USAF Air War College and Department of Defense Joint Forces Staff College. He has completed executive education coursework at the University of Texas, University of Tennessee, Naval War College and the National Defense University in Washington, D.C. Most recently, he completed the U.S. Government Mediation Program.
