Michael Cannes

Michael partners with credit unions to help them implement and mature their enterprise risk management (ERM) programs and processes. He helps his clients align their risk appetite with their strategy so that they can realize their goals and objectives while successfully managing risks.

Michael has worked in and with financial institutions for over 12 years. He has held positions with a small boutique consulting and audit firm as well as positions at BKD, focused specifically on community banks and credit unions. Directly before joining Rochdale, Michael worked at a $2 Billion credit union where he was the Vice President of Risk Management - a function that he created and implemented at the credit union. This included the creation and implementation of ERM, Compliance Management, Fraud Management, and Business Continuity Management.

Michael holds an MBA in Management from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, a master’s degree in Counseling from Lindenwood University, a BA in general studies from Lincoln Christian University, and is a Certified Financial Services Auditor.
