Michael Taliefero
Michael Taliefero co-founded ComplianceTech to provide specialized lending intelligence services to financial institutions nationwide. CoplianceTech is renowned for its expertise in identifying market opportunities, formulating lending benchmarks, and implementing emerging markets, CRA and fair lending best practices.
Together with his business partner, Michael was able to develop software that is capable of combining HMDA data with loan origination data. Learn how a fair lending compliance program should look in terms of staffing, organization, and scope of review which is all about due diligence.
Earlier in his career, after graduating law school, Michael worked as an attorney for the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, in the finance division of the Office of the General Council. Later, he joined the Mortgage Bankers Association serving in various roles and interacting with all of the bank regulatory agencies, including NCUA, on issues important to the mortgage banking industry.
